Kittens at PetCo

Kittens at PetCo

One of our core missions is to find homes for abandoned or rescued kittens after they are tested, dewormed, vaccinated and spayed or neutered. Last November we opened a weekly Adoption Post at the new PetCo and it continues to be promising with and average of 7 adoptions per month. While that is great news, our clinic and nursery are still full of adorable kittens and “kitten season” is just beginning! So come check us out at PetCo any Friday, Saturday or Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and maybe meet your new kitty!

We will also continue to have our Saturday Adoption Post at Daiquiri Dick’s through April (except for the weekend of the Garage Sale) and we’ve had six adoptions there this season. It’s also your opportunity to get your PuRR logo T-shirts, caps

ADOPTION UPDATE: SAVANNAH

Savannah at home

Savannah at home

In February we featured Savannah and her brother Rhett. Savannah was born with only one eye and continued to be very shy and wary of humans even after fostering. But she was very brave when taken to PetCo for an Adoption Weekend…..and found a purr-fect home with Areli Garcia and her husband. Areli reports that Savannah has adjusted to her new home and is very happy……. and the pictures prove it! Meow!

A PURR-FECT FLOAT!!

Float Punta MitaPunta Mita Carnaval 2019 took place on Friday March 1st with 26 golf cart floats under the theme of the Pacific Ocean. PuRR Project was spotlighted by the Purr-fect Day on the Pacific float created by Lane and Karan Borges and piloted by Karan, Marilyn Kahn and Brenda Gill. While they didn’t win an award (the competition was fierce!) they had a great time! The floats created by residents and businesses paraded through the St Regis and Four Seasons lobbies and into the streets of Punta de Mita in a fun and colorful parade. Following the parade a fun evening was had on the driving range with music, food and incredible Carnaval entertainment. It was a great party celebration Punta Mita style!
