SHELTER UPDATE
We held our breath waiting for the passing of Cat 4 Hurricane Roslyn! There was some flooding at the shelter but no trees down from the high winds. We lost power in the night during the worst of the storm, but thankfully all humans and cats are OKAY! The worst damage was just north of us along the Nayarit coast where it came ashore. Sayulita was hit hard. Wind and high surf caused some damage in Puerto Vallarta and around the Bay but overall, we were lucky this time!
The Nursery casitas are still full with almost 60 kittens. Adoptions were very
slow in October. The two hurricanes resulted in the PetCo Adoption Center closing early those weekends. We were very happy that Catherine Goglia and Jim Shoemaker fell in love with two of our kittens they were fostering and decided to adopt Estrelitta and YoYo!!
VIRTUAL ADOPTIONS
Virtually Adopting one of our cats is a great way to show your support! These are usually older cats that have little hope of finding a Forever Home. Many have disabilities or may be just too feral to be adopted. YOU can “Virtually Adopt” one of these felines for yourself or as a gift to a feline-loving friend for only $120 a year and help us continue to give these adult cats a safe home and medical care for life. You can learn how to virtually adopt and also meet all the candidates, like MAMA ROSA, by going to our website at https://purrproject.com/adopt/ or write us at adopt@purrproject.com
