SHELTER UPDATE

small kittens sleeping in a bedThe shelter is looking good with no major storm damage to deal with this summer season! Last year we took in a record 280 cats, mostly young kittens just abandoned at the shelter. Our expenses were $1,600,000 pesos including food, medicine, salaries, vet care, litter, cleaning supplies, utilities, and general maintenance. We took in $410,000 from Adoptions, Market Sales, BINGO and the Garage Sale. The balance was from public donations. If you would like to make a contribution visit our website at https://purrproject.com/donate/. And remember, we are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit with Tax exempt receipts for US Dollar donations.

ADOPTIONS

Woody adopted at PetCo!

With 112 adoptions in 2025, we did slightly better than the previous year. Petco accounted for the majority with 69 plus we had 22 from shelter visitors and 21 through volunteers or fosters. We currently still 120 kittens in our nursery casitas or in fosters that need homes. So PLEASE consider us when you are ready to give a Forever Home to a deserving kitty.

FEATURED FELINE: ELIZA
